Designer Spotlight: Natalia Chinea Designs

In our ongoing Designer Spotlight Series, we talk with interior designers and architects to see what inspires them, and get insights to how they approach creating beautiful spaces. In this Spotlight we talk with Natalia, owner of Natalia Chinea Designs and see how she is approaches interior design.

Stikwood: How long have you been in business as an interior designer?

Natalia: I graduated with a fine arts bachelor's degree in December of 2013 and worked in corporate America for a furniture rental company for three years and in January of 2016 I started my own design business. Natalia Chinea Designs

Stikwood: Tell us a bit about your business and experience:

Natalia: Our mission is to create distinctive, extraordinary, award winning environments and interiors globally. What we do is relationship oriented. Through our dedication to listening to our clients we provide quality design consultancy services, in order to co-create spaces that positively influence the lives of the end users and leave a lasting impression on their minds, hearts and imaginations. We take the time to understand your project objectives in order to deliver creative solutions through innovation and design that are aligned with your vision and goals.

Stikwood: We love how you incorporate personality into the rooms you design. Tell us how Stikwood helps you achieve that.

Natalia: Stikwood helps us achieve so much! Adding personality to a space can mean lots of things and anytime I think of adding character, texture, dimension or creating a focal point Stikwood comes to mind because it accomplishes all of those goals.

Stikwood: What would you say is your “signature style”?

Natalia: Looking back at the spaces I have created so far I would say my signature style tends to be transitional with mixed metallics and the use of bold accent colors.

Stikwood: What was your favorite project using Stikwood products? What made it so special?

Natalia: My favorite project using stikwood was the leasing office at Ashley Lake Park Apartments in Boynton Beach, Florida. It was special to me because it was my first commercial project and after years of hard work I had the opportunity to design an entire space which included making selections for wall coverings.

Stikwood: What is your best piece of advice to offer someone who wants to redecorate a room on their own?

Natalia: To anyone who wants to redecorate a space I always recommend being extra mindful of scale. Measuring the space and the items being selected to ensure that they are the appropriate size. Not too big and not too small. I would also say make choices based on what you like, after all it’s your space!

Stikwood: Where can people go to find out more about your services?

Natalia: Anyone interested in learning more about my services can visit my website www.natchinea.com or follow me on instagram @natchineadesigns.
