Do I need to seal it if I use it as a backsplash? And what kind of sealant can I use?

It's not absolutely necessary to seal Stikwood when it's used as a backsplash. If you are concerned about water exposure, we can offer an add-on product called Splash Safe for $2.00 extra per square foot. Splash Safe is the ideal add-on when incorporating authentic materials in spaces such as bathrooms or backsplashes. This features front and back commercial grade sealant combined with our full width coverage pro-tape for added durability.
