Stikwood, the world's first peel and stik real wood wall planking, profiled in FDMC
Jerry McCall, one of the owners and creators of Stikwood, has been a woodworker for over 30 years. Stikwood is not just an extension of his experience, its the culmination of a lifetime of passion for wood and a relentless quest to utilize technology to reduce waste. Reclaimed and sustainable wood finishes are at the core of the product, but the essence of Stikwood is a design experience that brings together authentic real wood material with innovative technologies to create a very cool experience for the end user. Stikwood is a DIY dream product that allows any homeowner, designer, builder or business owner to quickly and easily install a REAL WOOD wall in their space.
In the words of Jerry, “I’ve spent 30-plus years in woodworking…at a very early stage of my life I got exposed to working with wood. I was really attracted to it. It is an amazing material and what I realized is that it had a certain authenticity to it that didn’t exist in other things I had been exposed to at that particular point. So I just gravitated toward it. Then, fortunately, through out my career I got involved in technology. I became really interested in how we can utilize technology to bring together some of the techniques that I learned by hand early on and make those more acceptable.”
