This month, we’re excited to spotlight Molly and her team at Studio IQL, an interior design collaborative based in a beautifully restored 1890s church. Known for their inventive use of materials and emphasis on storytelling through space, Studio IQL continues to reimagine what’s possible in interior design.
Meet the Designers
Founded in 2003, Studio IQL is a full-service interior design collaborative that tackles everything from ground-up builds to fine-tuning the smallest design details. With a deep appreciation for artistry and tactile experiences, the Studio IQL team is committed to delivering spaces that not only look beautiful but feel meaningful.

The Project Vision
For this particular project, the challenge was clear: transform a developer-grade 1980s home into something warm, character-rich, and welcoming. With open-minded clients and a desire to elevate the space with natural textures, the Studio IQL team knew Stikwood would be the perfect fit.
“We were aiming for a balance between timelessness and character,” Molly said. “Stikwood helped us strike that chord beautifully.”

“We’re always looking for materials that bring integrity and depth to a space,” said Molly. “Stikwood gave us the look and feel of real wood, without the weight or installation challenges of traditional paneling. It also supported our sustainability goals, which was important to both us and our clients.”
The Final Result

One of the most rewarding aspects of using Stikwood in this project? The texture.
“It added instant dimension and warmth,” Molly explained. “It played beautifully with the natural light, elevated the overall design, and maintained a high-end feel—all while being surprisingly easy to install. It felt like a smart, stylish solution in every sense.”
