What is Woodwöl?
Woodwöl is Stikwood’s real wood mosaic tile line, made from individual reclaimed wood pieces arranged into patterned 1-square-foot tiles.
Is Woodwöl peel-and-stick?
No. Woodwöl is not peel-and-stick. It installs with mechanical fasteners or construction adhesive, depending on the project and surface.
How much wall area does one Woodwöl tile cover?
Each Woodwöl tile covers 1 square foot, which makes project math simple: measure your wall area and order by square footage.
Can I order a Woodwöl sample?
Yes. Because each Woodwöl tile is 1 square foot, you can order one full tile as a sample or choose a sample book for finish and pattern review.
What’s the difference between a Woodwöl sample book and ordering one tile?
A sample book shows finish, color variation, pattern options, and depth choices. A single tile shows the full 1-square-foot pattern at real scale.
How do I calculate how much Woodwöl I need?
Measure width × height to get square footage, then add extra for cuts and layout. Since each tile is 1 square foot, the tile count is easy to estimate.
What Woodwöl patterns are available?
Woodwöl is available in multiple mosaic patterns, including options like herringbone, chevron, stacked, brick, grid, cobblestone, bond, and ashlar layouts.
What’s the difference between flat and dimensional Woodwöl tiles?
Flat Woodwöl tiles have a more even surface. Dimensional tiles use varied block depths to create stronger shadow, texture, and 3D movement.
Can Woodwöl be used in commercial projects?
Yes. Woodwöl is well suited for commercial accent walls and can be ordered with Class A fire treatment when the project requires it.
Is Woodwöl certified?
Woodwöl uses the same reclaimed wood as our Stikwood products but is not currently FSC© Recycled certified or Indoor Advantage Gold certified. We are working on this.
Can Woodwöl be used in kitchens or bathrooms?
Woodwöl can work in contained kitchen or bath accent areas when the right finish and treatment are selected. Like any real wood, you need to avoid locations with excessive moisture.
