Stikwood and Plankprints will stick to most reasonably flat, primed surface. This includes most standard drywall or plaster walls with regular textures, like knock-down, orange peel etc. If you are not sure, send us a picture to [email protected] and we can tell you.
We create them internally. Our staff of designers are always looking at nature and cool artwork for inspiration. We test them internally and refine them until they meet Stikwood's requirement for authenticity and innovation.
Many of our products are developed in partnership with designers and other customers. While we don't have a specific program to do custom Plankprints, if you know what you want, you should ask! Send us a note at [email protected]. We have produced custom pieces for customers, and you never know—you might just design the next Plankprint!
Yes. Stikwood works great for ceilings as it is lightweight and sticks great. You can also use it in bathrooms. Things to watch out for are heavy textures like popcorn ceilings and any surface with excessive moisture or dust. You can always ask us at [email protected] and we can tell you wether your install will work for Stikwood!
No, Stikwood is not veneer. Veneers are ultra thin pieces of wood peeled from a log typically. Stikwood is thin (around 1/8 inch thick), but it is milled from real wood like a normal board. It's designed to be thin, so that the wood will conform to your wall and stick like crazy. If you are worried it is weak or fragile, don't be, because it will take on the strength of what you stick it to. If your wall is strong... Stikwood will be strong.
