Nestled in the breathtaking Vail Valley of Colorado, Emily Kearl and her team at M.E. Design Studio are transforming interiors with passion, precision, and a deep appreciation for personal style. For this month’s Designer Spotlight, we had the pleasure of catching up with Emily to learn more about her approach to design, her recent modern renovation project, and how she used Stikwood to bring texture and warmth to the space.

Meet the Designer
Emily Kearl is the founder and creative force behind M.E. Design Studio, a full-service interior design firm known for its versatile aesthetic and client-first philosophy. With over 20 years of experience in the industry—and more than a decade leading her own firm—Emily has built a reputation for turning dream spaces into tangible reality.
“Our team enjoys working with people who love to live, no matter space or style,” Emily says. “From mountain elegance and minimalism to shabby chic and rustic charm, we love helping our clients create environments that truly reflect who they are.”

The Project Vision
For one recent project, Emily’s clients were ready for a complete transformation—wanting to shift their home's look to a cleaner, more modern aesthetic. With Colorado’s natural beauty as a backdrop, Emily knew she needed to strike a balance between contemporary design and the warmth that makes a home feel personal and inviting.

Why Stikwood?
When it came time to add depth and texture to the design, Stikwood was an easy choice.
“We wanted to bring warmth and texture to our client’s sunny home,” Emily explains. “Stikwood gave us exactly that—and more.”

Beyond the visual appeal, the ease of installation made it a standout. “It was so easy to install and instantly created a custom look,” she adds. That instant transformation allowed the design to take shape quickly and effortlessly—making a big impact with minimal disruption.
